Recap

Oct 4, 427

The party left Siaro, intending to follow up on the Magpie Men’s invitation to their hideout. The same day we reached Leverenso and put up some postings looking for a venturer (our previous venturer having become an ascetic).

Oct 5

Took the road north, passed nothing of interest except a patrol of navgarine soldiery. At night some falcons stalked the camp and Fingol ordered one of them shot, much to the disappointment of his animal-loving apprentice Tavenna.

Oct 6

We located the hideout. Met Namo, who was deep in conversation with a Roc! Karm attempted to ply his songs, but the roc pronounced them “tomfoolery,” which shook the faith of Gregosz, his so-called chosen one.

Namo filled in a few gaps in our knowledge. Contrary to what the priests in Siaro had said, Namo didn’t believe the glass ghosts were victims of the Grand Marshall’s Ordinance. Namo and Ierocain had researched together a sort of dimensional rift created by a pre-historic event called the Apprentice’s Gambit.

The Amari (valar-esque being) known as the Apprentice had attempted his own errant version of creation, leading to the formation of this rift in reality. This forced the remaining Amari to rush their creation of Illiras, leading to other problems.

Ierocain has now discovered how to create similar dimensional rifts, and has also discovered some sort of civilization outside the world our characters know. It’s from here that he has released the glass ghosts. He has also been dabbling with using the rifts to interact with the void, releasing monsters like the five specters bound in the magical vortex of his ruined academy.

All this began from a desire to stop the corruption of Gadaszin, but where Namo stopped short of dabbling in the void, Ierocain pressed on, thinking it was the only way. Namo now wishes to coordinate resistance to Gadaszin and Ierocain.

Finally, he informed us about a rumor: a holy place that remains pure in the midst of Gadaszin. He offered us the use of his workshop and library.

On the way back from Namo’s settlement, we made a valuable discovery, identified by Tavenna as over 13k worth of Tears of Nimone - a universal magic research component. Unfortunately it was 1300 st.

With our large donkey train and cart we managed to carry away 160 st of it.

Oct 7

We returned to Leverenso. In the evening, a strange elk crossed the path of Fingol and Karmrakir in the street. It spoke, saying “We are already rooted among you,” or something to that effect. A fight ensued, and the elk babbled insanely, saying it “sensed a seed among you.” We blasted it apart with lightning, as is tradition.

Waited in Leverenso to see if anyone would answer our henchman posting.

Oct 9

Fingol finished learning Wall of Thunder.

Oct 11

Left Leverenso, crossed the border to Rantal and headed south toward Amtolosz.

Oct 12

The great sheep massacre. We came across an unattended flock of sheep. Paranoid that they could be creatures of gadaszin, Sapporo and Karm began to slaughter them. A bemused Fingol watched as dozens of sheep were killed. There were no monsters. The party ate well that night.

Oct 14

Arrived in Amtolosz.

Three Avilian women were being escorted by the Keeper Racisil, who had some kind of white lines connected to their heads - a new form of natural power unknown to Fingol and Tavenna. Villagers claimed this was a blessing ceremony.

The heaven-daughters returned to a stone fortress, evidently constructed in the months we had been away.
